EDF China R&D Center is the affiliate of both EDF China and EDF R&D France. As a multi-national team of EDF R&D, its main functions are to provide technical support for EDF's local business in China, to support research activities of EDF R&D, and to carry out R&D cooperation with local partners in China.
You will join the Modeling For Generation team of EDF R&D China center as a Research Engineer on Fluid Mechanics.
This position is mainly expected to contribute directly to the fluid mechanics activities based on EDF’s own software (code_saturne, neptune_cfd, Telemac 2D/3D, Tomawac), and participate in experimental studies realized in the local partners.
In addition, you are expected to support project managers in the cooperation with both internal and external partners of EDF R&D China Center.
1. Technical contribution to the fluid mechanics activities in link with EDF’s own software:
- Numerical simulation study: phenomena on thermal hydraulics (steam condensation, water entrainment etc.), free-surface flow (wave, deep current etc.) and fire (safety analysis)
- Experimental study: thermal hydraulic phenomena (steam condensation, water entrainment in T-junction)
2. Support the work of project managers on activities linked to fluid mechanics: projects’ pre-analysis, experiment preparation, mission report, etc.

Professional experience and skills / Technical Knowledge
• Master’s or Doctor’s degree in science & engineering field (or Engineer degree of French Grande Ecole), with preference of nuclear energy-oriented experience.
• Familiar with CFD (computational Fuild Dynamics), with preference of experience on real projects
Language
• Native Chinese speaker, and fluent English especially for speaking and writing. Speaking French is a strong plus.
